I surely am a massive beauty junkie, and I definitely enjoy surprises! That’s why I
absolutely wanted to subscribe to a beauty box of any kind and stepped across
one called Pink Box, which is the “Swiss
version” of a Glossy Box or a Jolie Box or a whatever box which basically costs
around 20CHF/15€ and sends you five different beauty essentials, all hidden in a
fancy packaging. A pretty good deal!
The June
Pink Box came to my house a few weeks ago, therefore I went a little bit crazy
and immediately tried out all the items! Down below you can find a list of the
five products with a general description, and how I have rated them. I really
hope this method will be useful, especially if you think that you might be
interested in buying the full size merchandise!
1. VICHY
Eau Thermale
The Vichy thermal
water is enriched with a unique combination of over 15 types of rare and beneficial
minerals. It is famous for its calming, revitalizing, and regenerating
characteristics. At the same time, it protects and refreshes also sensitive
skin.
This product is perfect after cleansing and excellent for keeping your
face fresh during these hot summer days. The water is obviously odourless and
colourless and does its job really, really well. Definitely the best item in
the box! (http://www.vichy.com)
2. WEN® Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing
Conditioner
This exclusive treatment and
its “revolutionary new concept” are able to let your hair shine and be
beautiful! It consists in a 5 in 1 formula: a shampoo, a conditioner, a
deep-conditioner, a detangler and mask. “It
cleanses hair thoroughly without lathering or harsh ingredients. It's designed
not to strip your hair and scalp of natural oils, leaving your hair with more
strength, moisture, manageability and better colour retention“.
The key ingredients are glycerine,
chamomile extract, wild cherry bark, rosemary extract, and panthenol, which
have moisturizing, calming, conditioning, soothing, and restoring properties.
I must honestly admit, that I wasn’t
very impressed as I saw this conditioner for the first time but after trying
it, I absolutely fell in love. It is the first time that I have experienced
such a nice effect thanks to a hair product! The scent is not for everyone,
since it is very “natural” and “herbal” (if this makes any sense), and the
texture is very creamy and doesn’t foam. The results are amazing: you can
literally feel the product working its magic and your hair feels light, clean,
and smooth. Recommend that! (http://www.wenhaircare.com/whyitsunique/whyitsunique,default,pg.html)
3. VICHY
Pureté Thermale 3 in 1 Facial Cleanser
The 3 in 1
Vichy Cleanser is a cleansing milk, a cleansing water, and an eye make-up
remover…all at once! The combination of highly effective and skin protective
cleansing constituents provides for a fast and easy cleaning, able to effortlessly
remove make-up without hurting the sensitivity of the skin. After that, your
face will feel refreshed and really soft.
The product has a very light texture
and a nice and delicate scent. If you are looing for a new cleanser, this is
the perfect to minimize allergy-effect risks. (http://www.vichy.com)
4. COLORSMASH™ Hair
Shadow in Electric Beat
This hair shadow is perfect for people who like to get crazy and creative with their hair
without having permanent consequences! You simply rub the desired hair part in
the hair colour and fix it with hairspray. If you want to removed it, wash your
hair. That’s it, as simple as it sounds!
I really enjoyed trying out the
product: it was cool but (not going to lie!) a little bit messy! Since it is
very pigmented, it is also very difficult to get rid of the hair shadow without
the power of soap, so be careful if you don’t want to mess around! I will
definitely use it soon, maybe at a summer festival or another music event, just
for fun! The result is very good and colourful, and it is also easily washable
with shampoo! (http://www.sephora.com/hair-shadow-P378140)
5. Beauty UK Nail
Varnish in Smokey Lilac
I have to
admit, I am really picky with nail polishes (maybe a little bit too much), and
I tend to invest a little bit more money in a good one, which will last longer.
This nail lacquer has a really nice and shiny pastel colour, and it also dries
pretty quickly.
In my modest opinion, it will look great with a tanned skin
(instead of a fair one, which will seem a little bit too “ill”), therefore
perfect for summertime. The reason why I didn’t like this so much consists in the
texture of the product, which is definitely too liquid. It tends to smudge a
little bit, and its coverage is a tiny bit too light. But, as I said, I am
very, very picky so…if you are not like that, you might like it more as I
did! (http://www.beautyukcosmetics.com)
…And that
is it for today lovely people! I had a lot of fun testing all the items in the
box and I can’t wait to open the next one! I also truly hope that you will find
something interesting to try out and, if you have any suggestions, you can as
always put them down in the comment box!
I wish you all a great
week! xxx
